If your mom had acne you may have a higher likelihood of getting acne at some time in your life. Although acne is not hereditary, it is possible for us to inherit our "skin type" from our parents. If your mom or dad has oily skin and large pores, it is more likely that you will have breakouts than if both parents have normal, clear skin. Don't despair, though; taking good care of your skin and eating a healthy diet will greatly improve you chances of being acne-free! |
